The classic full-range driver in the 10 cm range has always been, at FOSTEX, the FE 103 with the current type designation FE 103 EN. In August 2014, FOSTEX even gave its DIY builders a gift for its 50th anniversary with the special model FE 103-SOL. This small chassis is best housed in the backloaded horn “BK 103“. HOBBYHIFI examined the whole thing extensively in issue 4/2014 (test report “Small horn – really big”). In doing so, the astonishing qualities of this mini horn loudspeaker were clearly brought out. Under the heading “DOWNLOADS” and “Press”, this test report BK 103 can be downloaded together with the construction plan. Conclusion: “The BK 103 with FE 103 EN plays stunningly musically. With these loudspeakers, listening to music is simply fun, with or without correction circuit.”

If you build the bass horns yourself, the price/performance ratio is certainly unbeatable.
