Experiments with JABO KH-53 and BMS 4591 revealed a crossover frequency of 350 Hz.

A great gain compared to our old BK 201 KH 2-way. I therefore decided to design a further variant of the BK 201 with 3 ways. Not least in order to prevent the physically inherent treble beaming of the large JABO spherical wave horns with their long horn throat, and to leave the treble radiation to FOSTEX ring radiators, which are ideally predestined for it. They reproduce the highs distinctly more easily, more airily and dispersed over a wide angle. The point-source behaviour is thereby retained.

The high-end midrange driver BMS 4591 reproduces the midrange from 350 to 6000 Hz and from
6000 Hz the FOSTEX T 90 A takes over. Towards the top there are of course no limits (T 925 A,
T 900 A).

This 3-way combination improves the dream loudspeaker once again dramatically. The singer
stands completely in the flesh before the listener on a wide stage reaching far into the depth.
Breathtakingly dense and tangible, the musical events present themselves. The smallest impulses are
clearly teased out. Even at low volume everything is perfectly and wonderfully audible.
The bass reproduction, finally, is phenomenal for a compact bass horn like the BK 201.
