The construction proposal BK 12 m comes from MADISOUND, the American FOSTEX distributor.
It is interesting because no optimal bass horn has yet been published with the somewhat difficult-to-use FOSTEX full-range driver FE 126 EN. This one should not be used without a sophisticated correction
and should be placed directly against a wall because of the somewhat reticent bass range. The double notch filter I developed is shown in the test report of HOBBYHIFI 6/2016. Care should be taken to use air-core coils that are as low-loss as possible with low internal resistance. As a reward for the effort, you get a relatively small, living-room-friendly horn loudspeaker with astonishing efficiency and
unusual maximum volume .
As a second driver option for this parabolic bass horn, Mr Timmermanns tested the limited high-end full-range driver FOSTEX FE 108-SOL, then available, in the BK 12 m. It proved to be, both in the measurement lab and in the listening studio, the ideal solution both for the small BK12m and for the somewhat larger BK 108 exponential horn. As long as this special model is still available in 2016, it is considered our absolute insider tip. Natural, uncoloured reproduction across the entire audible range without correction crossover! A correction is suggested, but in my opinion it is not necessary. At best in acoustically hard rooms.

The special model FE108-SOL is unfortunately no longer available.
The conical horn BK12m is, however, suitable for all currently available
10-13 cm full-range drivers on the market.
