By popular demand, a large bass-reflex enclosure with spherical wave horn and a large 38 cm woofer was created.

My choice here fell on the new BEYMA HIFI bass 15B100R/GH in the 100 l enclosure. In terms of quality and above all sound pressure, it is an optimal match for the JABO horn KH-53 with the BMS 4590 2″ coaxial driver and is, above all, one of the few bass drivers that works fully in the rather small volume of only 100 L for a 38 cm woofer. Anyone who, incidentally, has no space problems can easily increase the net volume to 125 L and then obtains an even deeper-reaching bass. The overall sound pressure is 93 dB; this combination delivers levels without end and, in doing so, reproduces music of all styles exceptionally free of colouration and with maximum dynamics.

A good alternative to the huge Eckhorn, if one cannot accommodate the latter.

The fun factor is, as with all my designs with spherical wave horn, enormous – three-dimensional, completely detached reproduction as usual. The listener immerses himself in the music and believes he is sitting at a live concert. Something like this is only possible in this form with high-quality horn loudspeakers! Anyone who has once heard them will not be let go by them, and can no longer be won over even by the finest mini boxes.

Entirely in keeping with the motto of the test report HOBBYHIFI 6/2014 “CAUTION: RISK OF ADDICTION”!

Important info!

Bk 208 MKII: this horn loudspeaker based on the FOSTEX high-end full-range driver FE 208E sigma was completely revised after the publication of the test report.

The tweeter T 900A was replaced by the T 925A. A 2-way crossover (12 db/oct.) with a crossover frequency of 3500 Hz was created. Through this correction, the frequency curve could be linearised and the slight colourations that previously existed were eliminated.
